The worst part is that this wasn’t even a prediction. This was a wild, completely ridiculous, satirical joke trying to make use of an imagined situation that could never ever happen and one that would be so unbelievable to the viewer that it would be hilarious even without the added social commentary.

Yes, this is real (link to tweet). Yes, Tucker Carlson is literally repeating Nazi propaganda that aided the genocide of the Romani during the Holocaust. Yes, I am furious. 

(Also, although there is a large population of Romani in Romania, they aren’t indigenous to Romania. They’re a diasporic group originally from northern India.)

Romani and Jewish have been screaming at the top of their lungs for years about neo-fascism in Europe, and Americans were totally aloof.

Then neo-fascism reared its head in America, but Roma and Jews were left out of the conversation in terms of people being impacted, because our oppression was “over.”

Now Tucker Carlson is on live TV using slurs and Nazi propaganda about Romani people, and I’m 90% most people on the left are just going to ignore it.

Anti-Muslim hate crimes spiked 91% within first half of 2017, new report says

  • On Monday, the Council on American-Islamic Relations released a new report detailing a 91% increase in anti-Muslim hate crimes within the first six months of 2017 compared to the same time period in 2016.
  • According to the civil rights group, 2016 was the worst year recorded for anti-Muslim hate crimes since it began documenting incidents in 2013.

I zoomed in and I was like “yeah right” while it loaded and then my jaw actually dropped 

holy shit

i mean i knew theoretically what this was supposed to look like, but i didn’t actually expect to see it

but then when i zoomed in, all the noise turned into ACTUAL STARS, that you can see individually

good job, NASA

NASA, next to the national parks, is America’s best idea, tbh.

I also think the National Parks deserve more love. They’re incredible places
